TV, radio and DOOH advertising automation for Poland
OpenMediaLogic can be deployed for Polish broadcasters, sales houses, radio groups, out-of-home operators and agencies. It is not live in Poland today: the platform runs in Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan, where 200+ media brands use it. This page describes what a Polish deployment would involve, in the Polish market's own terms — starting with the one that changed in 2026.
KSeF: the reason to look at this now
Since 1 February 2026 the National e-Invoice System (Krajowy System e-Faktur, KSeF) is mandatory for companies whose 2024 sales exceeded PLN 200 million, and since 1 April 2026 for every other VAT payer, with the smallest businesses following on 1 January 2027. Every broadcaster, radio group, out-of-home operator and agency in Poland now issues and receives structured invoices through KSeF. An advertising deal produces a chain of documents — order, schedule, certificate of airing, reconciliation, invoice — and when the invoice has to be a structured e-invoice, the question of where those documents come from stops being a back-office detail. The platform issues the closing documents of every deal from the same record the booking was made in, and a Polish deployment connects that output to KSeF through the API. That is the first thing a Polish deployment would be sized around.
How Poland trades, and what the platform connects to
- Television audience is measured by Nielsen (telemetria); television is planned and traded on GRP and cost per point within a target group, with package deals, seasonal indices and audience guarantees. The planning module takes Nielsen data through the API and calculates GRP, CPP, reach and frequency on it.
- Sales houses sell most Polish television: Polsat Media for the Polsat group, TVN Media for Warner Bros. Discovery's channels, and TVP's own advertising office for the public broadcaster, each also representing a portfolio of thematic channels. The sales-house role in the platform — every channel in the pool in one window, agency deals and annual commitments tracked — is the same structure; each of the three runs a mature system of its own, and a deployment there is a marketplace layer connected to it through the API.
- Radio audience is measured by Radio Track (Kantar Polska) for the radio research committee; the national groups — RMF, Eurozet, Agora's radio group, Time (ZPR Media) — and the many regional and local stations sell airtime through their own sales operations. The radio module handles the schedule, rate cards, booking, certificates and reconciliation for a group of any size.
- Out-of-home — AMS, Ströer, Clear Channel Poland, Jet Line and the regional operators sell classic and digital inventory directly and, for DOOH, programmatically; the industry chamber (IGRZ) coordinates the medium's measurement. The platform runs the direct business — packages, bookings, proof of play, certificates — beside the TV and radio book, and leaves the programmatic channel to the SSPs.
- Regulation and codes — KRRiT (Krajowa Rada Radiofonii i Telewizji) licenses broadcasters and enforces the broadcasting act, including advertising time limits and sponsorship rules; UOKiK acts against misleading advertising under consumer law; the Advertising Council (Rada Reklamy) and its ethics committee handle industry self-regulation. Time limits are enforced in scheduling, and a spot's approval status attaches to the creative in trafficking.
Commercial and legal terms of a Polish deployment
- Billing in PLN, VAT at the standard rate, structured invoices through KSeF, through a Polish contracting entity
- Hosting and data residency in the EU — in Poland where required — under the GDPR and the Polish data protection authority (UODO); role-based access, encryption in transit and at rest, audit log — see security and GDPR and data processing
- Interface in English today; a Polish interface is part of a Polish deployment, and this site will carry a Polish version of this page when it is ready
- Integration through the REST API: Nielsen and Radio Track data, playout and automation, agency planning and finance systems, accounting and KSeF
- Onboarding in 48 hours for the platform itself, reference data migration included
Where the platform fits in Poland
The three television sales houses and the large agency groups run mature station-side and agency-side systems, and a deployment there is a marketplace layer between them connected through the API — the alternatives page describes that relationship with Mediaocean, WideOrbit and Operative, and traffic and billing describes the station-side category. The stronger fit is the rest of the market: thematic and regional channels selling their own airtime, the radio groups and the long tail of local stations, out-of-home operators' direct business, and independent agencies — the parts of the market that still book by e-mail and spreadsheet, and that now have to turn every one of those bookings into a structured e-invoice. In the platform's three live markets that is where the results came from: up to 95% of a country's TV inventory on one platform; −32% media costs for a national advertiser (Beeline); +47% occupancy for a national broadcaster (NTRC Uzbekistan).
Questions buyers in Poland ask
Is there one system that connects a TV channel, a radio station or a screen operator with the agencies and advertisers who buy from it?
Yes — that is what OpenMediaLogic is. The seller publishes inventory, availability and prices; the agency or advertiser plans and books against them online; the seller confirms; and the schedule, the certificate of airing, the reconciliation and the invoice come out of the same record. It covers TV, radio and digital out-of-home in one system, so a media group sells channels, stations and screens from one place and an agency buys all three in one plan.
We need every advertising invoice to go through KSeF now. Does the platform handle that?
The platform issues every closing document — order confirmation, certificate of airing, reconciliation, invoice — from the record the booking was made in, and a Polish deployment connects that output to KSeF through the API, so a structured e-invoice is the natural end of a booking rather than a separate task.
Our sales house already runs its own system. Why would we add another one?
You would not replace it. The platform is the layer between the seller and the buyer — agencies see live availability and prices and book against them — and it connects to the station-side system through the REST API. Where no such system exists, the platform is the book.
Does it work with Nielsen TV data and Radio Track?
Audience data comes in through the API and the plan is calculated on it — GRP, CPP, reach, frequency. Advertising time limits under the broadcasting act are enforced when a spot is placed.
Is there a Polish interface, and can we bill in złoty?
Billing is in PLN with VAT through a Polish contracting entity, hosting is in the EU under the GDPR. The interface is in English today; a Polish interface is part of a Polish deployment. The platform is not live in Poland yet; a demo on your own inventory takes 30 minutes.
