Questions and answers
The things people ask most often before a demo: price, timelines, integrations, where the data lives. If your question is not here, request a demo or write to support@openmedialogic.com.
What does OpenMediaLogic cost, and what determines the price?
The platform is sold as an annual or monthly subscription, billed in your market's local currency — tenge, som or manat — by a local legal entity. Three things set the price: your role in the market (media holding, seller or agency), the volume of inventory, and the number of named seats. Observers and auditors are free. There is no implementation project, no per-server licence and no charge for integrations. We calculate the exact figure for your inventory at the demo — more on the pricing page.
How long does the rollout take?
48 hours, including migrating your reference data: rate cards, channels, clients and special terms. This is a working environment rather than a sandbox pilot — there is no separate implementation project with phases and sign-offs, because the platform ships as a service and not as a box.
How quickly does the subscription pay for itself?
Clients across our three markets report 6–8 weeks. The effect comes from three places: a lower average CPP through better buying, higher airtime occupancy, and the hours the sales team gets back. Beeline Kazakhstan saw −32% media costs in 9 months; the National TV and Radio Company of Uzbekistan gained +47% occupancy in its first year. Both are written up in full: Beeline KZ, NTRC UZ.
What does the platform integrate with?
A REST API with OAuth 2.0 authorization and JSON payloads, plus webhooks for events: approval, broadcast, campaign closing. Media plans, placements, broadcast facts and financial data all move through them. Ready-made exchange scenarios cover accounting systems, BI tools and airtime monitoring systems, state ones included. Integrations are not billed separately. Details on the API page.
What if we already have a system of our own?
That is the usual situation, and the answer is the API rather than replacing everything at once. Your accounting system, BI and monitoring stay where they are and take their data from OML; the reference data you have been keeping is migrated during onboarding. You can start with a single loop — booking only, say — and widen it as it becomes clear what you are actually gaining.
Where is the data stored?
Each country's data is stored locally, in national partner data centers with in-region redundancy — that is what the regulators of our markets require. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and backups are taken every 24 hours and held in geographically separate copies. The paperwork for a review — certificates, security-questionnaire responses, data-center details — is provided on request. More on the security page.
How is our data kept from competitors on the same platform?
Isolation at the data level, not at the level of an agreement: one seller never sees another seller's deals, an agency never sees anyone else's terms. Access is role-based with separation of duties across departments; accounts are personal, and there are no "shared" logins. Every action is written to an immutable audit journal — who changed what, and when.
What happens if the internet goes down?
Plainly: OpenMediaLogic is a cloud service, it runs in the browser, and without a connection access stops until the connection returns. Nothing is lost in the meantime — the data lives on the platform, not on the workstation. On our side, target availability is 99.9%, with round-the-clock monitoring and an on-call team that responds to critical incidents within 30 minutes; maintenance is announced at least 72 hours ahead. Current system health is on the platform status page.
Who is the platform for?
Three roles in the advertising market, each with its own set of modules: broadcasters and media holdings, sales houses, and agencies and advertisers. Separately, radio stations and DOOH network operators.
Which countries do you work in?
Three markets: Kazakhstan since 2022, Uzbekistan since 2023, Azerbaijan since 2024. 200+ media brands work on the platform in total; in Kazakhstan, up to 95% of the country's TV inventory is sold through OML. The interface is translated into 16 languages, Kazakh, Uzbek and Azerbaijani included, and support answers in the market's language.
Do we need to know media planning to get started?
The platform does the arithmetic — GRP, CPP, post-buy, occupancy — but understanding what the result means is still worth something. We have written the terms up in plain language in the glossary: one page per term, no industry shorthand.
